The DataCenter 4000 is a general purpose laboratory data interface that can connect to a host computer via either USB or serial port.

In addition to it's six high resolution 20 bit analog to digital converter inputs the DataCenter 4000 has four normally open relay contacts and four digital inputs with pullup resistors all available via a 36 way screw terminal strip on the rear face of the unit.

In addition four 12 bit DAC outputs, four 10 bit ADC inputs and eight bits of general purpose digital I/O are available at a DB 25 connector on the front of the device. Four of these digital I/O lines may be individually programmed  to provide variable frequency outputs at digital levels.

All inputs and outputs are protected against surges and static discharge. Most commonly the interface is powered from the host computers USB port. However if there is a need to interface via the serial port then a 12V 250mA mains power adapter must be furnished. The DataCenter 4000 automatically detects traffic on either input and synchronises to that communication stream.

Currently the DataCenter 4000 is only sold with DELTA and DELTA Flo data systems. Our intentions however are to make the DataCenter 4000 available as a separate product together with an easy to use ActiveX control that will make it easy to integrate in to applications for general purpose laboratory purposes whether the applications are created with C++, Delphi or Visual Basic.
